The entire Riviera Maya and the Yucatan Peninsula are connected by an underground water system and the Cenotes are entrances to it. Natural crystalline water pools, open or in caves, some are surrounded by stalactites and stalagmites, others by a beautiful tropical jungle, gifts of nature for a hot day in the Caribbean and they also hide an ancestral mysticism, since the Mayans considered them an entrance to the mythical underworld, a way of communicating with the gods.
